Tournament at Marist Brothers - Day 2 Pt2

We won the last match of our pool against the Dominican Convent 10-7, which was our most challenging game in our pool. 

We then went on to compete in the semi-finals and had a convincing win. 

Then we met Dominican Convent yet again in the finals and came away with a victory of 28-6.

Overall this tournament was a valuable experience for us, as well as an enjoyable one. 

Day 2 - Tournament at Marist Brothers

Our first two matches were a great success, we enjoyed every minute and played with determination. 

The first match was against St Catherine's which is a school that has just introduced basketball as a sport. We had a convincing win of 46-0. Top stats are:

Taonga Munjoma - 10 points, 1 defensive rebound and 5 steals

Dionne Makuzwa - 12points

Gamuchirai Chiumburu - 6points, 3 defensive rebounds, 3 offensive rebounds, 1 assist and 5steals

The second match was against Sacred Heart. We had a good win of 29-4.

Top stats are: 

Sarah Fodouop - 8points, 2 assists and 4steals

Laura van Schie - 8points and 3 steals

We have one more game left in our pool, and hope to make it to the semi-finals this afternoon.

Basketball Tour to Johannesburg - Day 1

It was an early morning for all of us today. We arrived in Johannesburg at 8:30 this morning and came straight to the lodge. Our first game at St Peter's College started at 2:30pm. It was a tough game and our team played well, especially in the second half. We narrowly lost, with a final score of 20-21. This game was an eye-opener and good start to our weekend in Johannesburg. We hope our tournament tomorrow is just as exciting and enjoyable as today's game.
